With our custom lighting design projects every lamp is unique because the design is based on the wishes of the customer and the properties of the space. We can strengthen the existing atmosphere/interior or create a contrast. In a sketch design we usually show both possibilities. We also cooperate with (interior) designers and architects. When an architect or designer has an idea we can work out the design together, as in our collaboration with amongst others Hans von Hirsch or Jan Neggers. We realize the final design.
For some projects, for example for hallways and staircases, we maintain the style of the architecture. For a school building and for a Jugendstil house in Amsterdam, Netherlands we repeated elements of the architecture in the lighting design, such as the shape of the banisters and the Jugendstil motive in the frameworks.
We have designed lighting for a large variety of locations such as restaurants, grand cafes, hotels, offices, churches and airports. We also do small projects for private homes.
We are always willing to send a sketch design and an offer without any obligation. For a sketch design we need information about the space where the lighting is required. The more precise our information, the better we can make an appropriate lighting design. If you send us a picture we can use it to base our design on and we can copy the design into the picture, which gives a good idea of the final result. Often we visit the place ourselves to determine what's required and to get ideas (often in cooperation with the client). Then we make several sketch designs from which the customer chooses one that's realized, or that's the basis of a new design, dependant on what the customer wants.
